I snuck up on the wood ducks in our backyard pond this morning. There are two family groups with parents and babies. I wasn't able to get too close before the ducks spotted me and took off. This was a total shot from the hip and I have NO IDEA how I caught the head of the male in focus, but WOW! I looked at the back of my camera and about fell over in delight! The shot has a wonderful sense of movement, but that male's head is in focus! Well, we will equate this to pure dumb luck!
